Kelly Motley has advanced her clients’ business objectives through the creation
of strategic programs that have influenced employee and public opinion, promoted
regulatory and legislative initiatives, built reputations and managed issues. She
has provided strategic communications, public relations and government affairs
consulting support and services to multi-million dollar corporate initiatives, national
organizations and businesses. Kelly has directed tactical initiatives for a wide range of industries, such
as travel and tourism and utility services. This involved working with business leaders, the media, policy
leaders and government officials. She represented clients’ business interests on Capitol Hill and in
state legislatures as well as worked domestically and internationally. Through building first-ever
grassroots programs for organizations, Kelly helped shape policy for clients at the local, state and
federal level.
As director of international marketing and government relations for a national travel and tourism
organization, she represented the business interests of 600 tour operators, 2,300 hotels and major
attractions, and 800 destination marketing organizations. In this role, she significantly expanded the
international marketing and government affairs programs, negotiated first-ever multimillion-dollar
partnerships with airlines and cruise lines and directed and oversaw a campaign to secure the largest
delegation to White House Conference on Travel and Tourism. As a business owner, she represented
the legislative and public relations needs of 1,100 realtors in 11 counties in Kentucky and provided other
communications and business development services to clients including the University of Kentucky and
the University of Iowa. Most recently, she managed internal and external communications for numerous
multi-million dollar corporate initiatives. In this role, she introduced and applied change management
services to company-wide projects to help reduce risks and achieve business objectives.
